Our founder
HB Ooi has over 30 years of business experience across Asia, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and China, holding senior management roles with multinational companies such as BHP Steel, Akzo Nobel, Veolia Water, and Metsäliitto FinnForest, with direct bottom-line responsibilities. He has also served as a senior advisor to US Filter, Woelco AG, Armstrong Industrial Corp, The Executive Learning Center, Evapco Inc., and Pac Environmental Engineering Inc. in China, consulting on market entry strategies, startups, market penetration, and corporate reorganization. With expertise in connecting private investors, venture companies, PE funds, and family offices with asset owners worldwide, Ooi has a broad network in sectors like legal, banking, real estate, private equity, and tax planning, facilitating global deals. He studied Marketing at Monash University and Finance at the University of Michigan, and he is an active member of various professional organizations and Chambers of Commerce. Before founding Falconcrest Limited, where he now advises institutional investors on global commercial real estate acquisitions, including projects like W Hotel in Manhattan, NYC, Jimbaran Villa Hotel in Bali, and an office building in Perth, he was the Business Development Director of GCSL Group, specializing in corporate business structures in on-shore and off-shore jurisdictions.
